Conil de la Frontera is best discovered from its heights. Between the white of the town and the infinite blue of the Atlantic, there are privileged spots where time seems to stand still. In this guide, we show you the five viewpoints that capture the true essence of our coast.
Best Time
The "golden hour" in Conil is magical. Visit these spots 30 minutes before sunset for the best light.
Photography
Bring a wide-angle lens to capture the vastness of the Atlantic from the cliffs.
Access
Most are accessible on foot from the centre, except for Roche which requires a vehicle or taxi.
Google Maps
You can find the exact locations on the official tourism website of Conil.

Protection
On strong Levante wind days, the Atalaya and Roqueo viewpoints are the most comfortable.
Full Route
If you want to see them all in one afternoon, book a taxi to move from end to end in comfort.
1. La Atalaya Viewpoint
Located on the cliff that guards Los Bateles beach, this viewpoint is a haven of peace. Surrounded by pines and green areas, it is the ideal place for a quiet stroll or to enjoy a reading with the sound of the waves in the background.
2. El Jabiguero Viewpoint
A few steps from La Atalaya is this monument that pays tribute to the old "jábega" fishermen. From this point, the view is lost on the horizon, reaching as far as Castilnovo beach and, on clear days, even the Trafalgar lighthouse.
3. El Roqueo Viewpoint
El Roqueo marks the transition between the urban beaches and the wild cliffs. Its public viewpoint offers a unique perspective of the power of the sea breaking against the rocks. It is, visually, one of the most striking due to the verticality of its landscape.
4. La Fuente del Gallo Viewpoint
Located in the urbanisation that gives it its name, this viewpoint is the perfect place to contemplate one of the most beautiful beaches in the province. The low tide here leaves a spectacle of rocks and sand that, seen from above, looks like a painted picture.
5. Lighthouse and Cabo de Roche Viewpoint
It is the furthest point from the centre but perhaps the wildest. Next to the lighthouse, you can see the small coves that hide under the pine forest. It is an area of great ecological value where nature shows itself in all its splendour.
